The GEA Dico range of automatic spindle capping machines are suitable for use in a wide range of industries. The flexibility of design enables metal or plastic caps, plugs, pilfer evident, roll-on and other closures to be applied at speeds up to 60 cpm. Containers from 30ml up to 25 litres are fed by conveyor into the indexing turret which automatically and accurately positions the container to receive the cap from capping chuck.
Caps are fed through to the capping chuck from one of a range of sorting systems which can be selected to match the individual requirements of the components to be sorted. As with all Dico capping machines, cap transfer from the chute to the chuck is via positive pick and place mechanism thus ensuring reliability and accuracy.
The machine can be supplied complete with integral conveyor or suitable to mount on existing conveyor. Materials can be varied to make extensive use of plastics and titanium for handling aggressive products or stainless steels for food and pharmaceutical and food applications.
